  • because i woke up from a nap with a boys hands sliding down my jeans and when I left him with a black eye he told everyone i was a bitch and a slut that he used for sex when I had never had sex at all
  • because my close friend was raped in her dorm room and now she can’t get in bed without checking that the door is locked 3 times
  • because “she was asking for it” is still said
  • because no doesn’t mean no in todays society
  • because i can’t wear shorts in 90 degree weather without being oversexualized
  • because the phrase “boys will be boys” is still in existance
  • BECAUSE IT IS IMPORTANT AND SOMETHING TO BE FIRED UP OVER

shut up about girls, i’m a boy and it’s perfectly relevant, bitch,

(via de-preciated)

You’re an asshole who called me a bitch because your male privileged ass felt excluded from something and didn’t like it. I’m sorry you ever felt you weren’t enough, but the society tells girls they are less than all the time and we are taught our whole lives to seek approval and trust other people’s judgment of our worth rather then develop our own. So no, this was not written for boys. If you relate - I’m sorry and I’m glad if it helps you in any way, but this - this is for girls, because the whole fucking society isn’t built to lift us up and tell us how great we are, so we have to do that for each other.

Isn’t letting someone
Inside your heart;
It’s letting them
Inside your head.
